The Badlands Campground is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Canadian Badlands on the banks of the Red Deer River in Drumheller Alberta. Enjoy this relaxing environment and walks along the river pathway.
Know for its unique geography, the local area is packed with attractions for the whole family. The Canadian Badlands is the dinosaur capital of Canada and home to the renowned The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology.
When you stay at the Badlands Campground you are supporting Canadian arts and culture. All proceeds from the Badlands Campground are in support of the Badlands Amphitheatre, a not-for-profit arts and culture venue that is home to Canada's largest outdoor stage. For over 27 years, the Badlands Amphitheatre has hosted thousands of guests for the Badlands Passion Play which takes each July.
The amphitheatre is also known for the Canadian Icons Concert Series which has included musical artists Tom Cochrane, Blue Rodeo, Randy Bachman, Jann Arden, Corb Lund, Paul Brandt and Nuela Charles.
Other events include Blues and Barbecue, LIGHTFEST: Fireworks in the Badlands, Movies Under the Stars, and more.
The Badlands Amphitheatre is currently building the Badlands Arts Centre - a 5000 square foot addition that will include a studio theatre for year round events, training people in arts and event management, and contributing to the community and Canadian culture for years to come.
