Why is Trump naked, while the man carrying him is clothed? 🤔

The artist says the sculpture was inspired by *The Emperor’s New Clothes*. Here, nudity is a form of speech: it helps portray the powerful figure as exposed and ridiculous, while the clothed man beneath him carries his weight.

Naturism gives nudity a different meaning. A naked body isn’t inherently shameful, sexual, or ridiculous. In naturist spaces, nudity is an ordinary part of being together, without needing to make a statement. 🌿

This artwork uses nudity to say something. Naturism reminds us that nudity can also simply be what it is: the human body, without clothes. ☀️

Families belong in naturist spaces. These communities can give children room to grow up with a more relaxed, positive view of bodies. 💚

A family enjoying the pool or walking the grounds is simply part of everyday life at a naturist resort. That’s one of the things that makes these places feel like real communities. ☀️

More than 80 naturists from across the globe recently gathered in Kecskemét, Hungary, for the 40th INF-FNI World Congress.

It was a productive and engaging three days filled with key decisions, including:
🔹 A major reform to membership fees for national federations.
🔹 Approval for a global survey on attitudes towards naturism to support international campaigning.
🔹 Ongoing exploration into establishing a legal entity in Belgium.
🔹 The re-election and election of central committee officers.

Beyond formal business, delegates enjoyed a private film screening, a visit to the Aranykor Wellness Centre complete with theatrical sauna sessions, and rounded off the event in true naturist fashion with a disco! 💃🕺

The congress once again highlighted the power of bringing our international community together to share knowledge, exchange best practice, and strengthen lifelong friendships.

The naturist community has lost one of its longtime storytellers.

Corky Stanton, founder of Clothes Free International and the creator behind *Nudes in the News*, spent more than two decades documenting naturist resorts, events, people and advocacy. His work created an invaluable visual record of naturism, captured from within the community at a time when few others were telling these stories.

Corky died suddenly this week at the age of 71. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and everyone whose life he touched. His contribution to naturist history will not be forgotten. 💜

What happens when a woman’s bare chest is treated as a statement, simply because society has decided her body is inherently sexual? 🤔

☀️ In 1991, 19-year-old Gwen Jacob removed her shirt while walking through Guelph during a heat wave. She was catcalled, arrested and convicted of indecency. Her refusal to accept that double standard led to a years-long court battle that helped establish that a woman’s bare chest is not inherently sexual or indecent.

⚖️ This new CBC podcast episode explores the personal and legal fight behind that landmark case. It also gives important context to the recent story we shared about the woman in Saint John who was asked by police to cover up while sunbathing topless on a public beach.

🌿 For naturists, the connection is clear. Bodies are not automatically sexual. Context matters. Equality matters. Sometimes changing how society sees the human body begins with someone refusing to cover herself simply because she is a woman.
