MacEwan University Centre for the Arts and Communications CFAC is home to a vibrant and creative community of students who are focused on building careers in performing, visual and communication arts.

The Centre for the Arts and Communications occupies an entire block in the city's west end. It's an exciting and visually-appealing environment, dedicated to the visual and performing arts. Features include:
• Newly renovated rooms to support the integration of laptops into the curriculum of the recording and composition majors of the Music Program, as well as the Arts and Cultural Management Prog

ram, the Photography major of the Design Studies Program and the Theatre Production Program.
• State-of-the-art photo and video studios, as well as editing suites and computer labs featuring high-end Macintosh computers equipped with the latest design industry-standard software.
• A 16 track digital recording studio, midi lab, music technology lab, and 20 soundproof practice wengers
• Well-appointed John L. Haar Theatre with 363 seats, featuring state-of-the-art electronic, audio & lighting equipment
• Shops, wardrobe, and props rooms for set design and construction, to support theatre productions
• Facilities that display the best of retail merchandising
• Five Macintosh computer labs and two IBM computer labs
• An intimate Theatre lab
• Spacious drawing and painting studios with natural light
• We also offer facilities and services for performances, meetings, workshops, seminars and special events

Before taking the next step along their creative career paths, 24 graduating students from MacEwan University’s Fine Art program will showcase their work to the public at the Centre for the Arts and Communications.

Strangely Nameless: The 2013 Fine Art Grad Show features drawing, painting, video, sound art, installation art, photo works.

Jurors for the exhibition are Darci Mallon and Leslie Sharpe (MacEwan University Fine Art faculty), and Guest Juror Sherri Chaba, whose work has been included in numerous exhibitions, including the 2013 Alberta Biennale at the AGA.
