🚨 🚢 Riverhurst Ferry Now Open for 2025 Season
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways has announced that the Riverhurst Ferry is now operational for the 2025 season. It operates 24 hours a day, leaves the west shore on the half hour and leaves the east shore on the hour during daylight hours and on-demand service at night.
This year, the ferry is expected to operate until early November, slightly earlier than the typical December closure. This adjustment allows for the installation of a new engine, addressing issues with the current engines, which have become increasingly difficult to maintain due to their age and the unavailability of parts. The Ministry engaged with stakeholders earlier this year to plan this upgrade, aiming to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the ferry service for years to come.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this short-term inconvenience, as the long-term benefits will support ferry service well into the future for area travelers, businesses, and tourists.
