Subject: Important Wildlife Advisory – Cougar Activity in the Area
Dear Guests,
We want to make you aware that a cougar (mountain lion) has been reported in the area surrounding the property.
While sightings are uncommon and cougars typically avoid people, we ask everyone to take the following precautions:
• Keep children and pets close and supervised at all times, especially at dawn, dusk, and after dark.
• Avoid walking alone on trails or in wooded areas, particularly during low-light hours.
• Do not approach or feed any wildlife.
• If you encounter a cougar, do not run. Make yourself look large, speak firmly, and back away slowly while maintaining eye contact. Report the sighting to staff immediately.
• Secure any food, trash, or pet food so it does not attract wildlife.
Staff are monitoring the situation closely. Please check with the store for the latest updates or if you have any questions or concerns.
