Originally built as a “granny flat” it has recently been re-decorated and refurnished to provide a “home away from home” for out of town visitors to the scenic Elora area. The earliest owner of the property was Peter Carroll of which the nearby Carroll Creek was named. This creek is a tributary of the Grand River. The structure of the house is called a ‘Grout House’ (the material being stone and c
ement). The Spruce trees on the lane were planted by the son of the previous owner approximately 80 years ago. The original bank barn still stands on the property and has been well preserved. It is one of the few such barns left in Ontario. Some of the old beams and barn boards have been removed by a family friend who uses them in luxury barn/housing projects in the state of New York. Guests will enjoy the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, queen size bed and sofa in living area which pulls out to a comfy double bed. Bathroom fitted with large shower and guests will be provided with fresh towels daily, hairdryer and amenities. While You Are Here
