🟡Fire Rating: Moderate🟡
As of today, August 22, 2025, the fire rating has been changed to MODERATE.
Remember, daytime burning (10:00am - 6:00pm) is strictly prohibited until October 31st.
🔥The maximum size for campfires is 2 feet x 2 feet. You must be in attendance at all times while burning and never leave a fire unattended. Have water or an extinguishment near by.
How are fire ratings determined?
• Every morning Fire Departments/stations receive a COOPERATORS report from the MNRF. This gives us information on moisture content, number of fires, special weather statements, etc. With this important information we are than able to determine our rating.
Important reminders: Fines apply for not following fire bans and regulations. Stay updated through our page and community fire rating signs throughout the fire season. For by-law inquiries or concerns, contact the Kearney Fire Station and speak with Fire Chief Paul Schaefer.
