Facebook Post: 🔥 IMPORTANT NOTICE – CAMPFIRE BAN

To help reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires, the BC Wildfire Service has issued a Category 1 Campfire Prohibition for the Southeast Fire Centre, including the Elk Valley.

⏰ Effective: Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM (Mountain Time)

All campfires must be completely extinguished by 1:00 PM on Thursday. After that time, campfires are not permitted until the prohibition is lifted.

✅ CSA/ULC-approved propane stoves, BBQs, and propane fire pits may continue to be used according to manufacturer instructions.

The safety of our guests, our campground, and our community depends on everyone's cooperation. Thank you for helping protect our forests during these dry conditions.

Love working outdoors and being part of a great team? The campground is now hiring for a variety of seasonal positions!

Available roles include:
• Office Staff - guest check-ins, reservations, payments, concession sales
• Groundskeeper - site cleaning, outdoor maintenance, minor repairs
• Cleaner - washrooms/showers, office, common areas
• Wood splitters - firewood processing

Whether you enjoy working with people, keeping sites spotless, or getting your hands dirty outdoors, we’d love to hear from you!

Customer service and outdoor labour experience are assets.

Good morning, Campers! (Update - emails are working)

We're booking reservations for the 2026 season!

While processing some requests, we've noticed that emails to certain Shaw customers are bouncing back. If you've sent us a reservation request and haven't heard from us yet, here's what to do:

1. Check your Junk/Spam folder – and make sure to add/accept emails from [email protected] (or search for [email protected]) so our replies land in your inbox!

2. Email us at [email protected] with an alternate email address (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.), along with:
• Your full name
• The original email address you used for the request

We'll get on it and sort everything out.

We're truly sorry for any inconvenience – our IT folks are actively working to resolve the issue with Shaw emails.
