Situated on the quiet Bain Lake, it's a quick 20 minutes drive to groceries, poutine trucks, and more in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. We loved spending summers by the lake while making family memories with the kids. Now that my three girls are grown up, we are ready to share the cottage experience with other families.
~ About the cottage ~
The fully furnished two bedroom cottage sleeps 4 adults com
fortably, or a family with 2 adults and up to 4 kids:
- Room 1: Queen-sized bed (great for a couple)
- Room 2: Two double beds (great for the kids)
- Newly renovated washroom with bath/shower
- Open concept kitchen / living room
- Large, bright sunroom with seating area and table with chairs (great view of the lake!)
- Outdoor patio set with BBQ
- small, sheltered, shallow, & sandy beach on a quiet bay (perfect for the kids to play in the sand or go for a swim)
We have done our best to make things as simple for you as we can, and have provided many items for your use and enjoyment:
- 2 sit-on Kayaks
- a paddle boat
- a few assorted life jackets
( no toddler or very small child size )
- 4 litres of drinking water .
- Bedding (for the three beds)
- Basic towels (6)
- Dishes for up to 6 people (plates, bowls, cups, utensils, etc.)
- Basic cookware (pots, pans, strainer, etc.)
- Coffee pot and filters
- Dish soap, sponge, and cloths
- Toilet paper, cleaning supplies
- A selection of books and board games for rainy days
What's not included (to help you prepare):
- EXTRA DRINKING WATER .
- bikes, beach toys etc.
- Beach towels
- Food or drinks
- Bug spray and sun screen
- Personal items
- Wifi
- Drinking Water
IMPORTANT:
- Tap water comes DIRECTLY from the LAKE, and is NOT safe to drink. You need to bring your own potable water for drinking, cooking, etc.
- Our neighbours live year round on the lake, and are physically close to the cottage. Please help us be respectful neighbours and be courteous with noise at night.
- The gas fireplace is currently out of service. Please do not try to turn it on.
- This is a great lake for paddling! However, we do not want powerboats being launched from our property. Please help us keep the lake clean and quiet. Fall Pricing (Sep 6 - Dec 6):
- $225 / night, 3 nights minimum; OR
- $1,400 / week (7 nights)
Prices include cleaning fees. Arrive anytime after 3 pm
