Winner of Tang of the North Lodge Raffle for Helen’s Pink Sky Foundation:
Steve Joachim. Congratulations Steve. I’ll be in touch.
A special thank you to everyone that participated in our raffle. You are now a part of changing the world for my Sweet 5-year-old Granddaughter Helen.
We sold 259 tickets and raised $12,950 for our foundation. Our search for a treatment & cure for this cruel disease, CLN2 Batten’s, began on July 1, 2025 with the UMN Center for Genome Engineering. Our search gets very serious beginning tomorrow, Sept 21. Helen checks into UMN Hospital at noon to have a device placed to collect all the T Cells from her little body. On Tuesday morning, 9/22, Helen’s T Cells will be collected in a 5-6 hour procedure. Her T Cells will then be couriered to Case Western University in Cleveland, OH. Case Western will reengineer Helen’s T Cells to hopefully start producing the TPP1 Enzyme Helen currently can’t produce..definition of CLN2 Batten’s. These reengineered cells will then be infused back into Helen in 3-4 weeks and hopefully stop the progression of this disease. Please send a special prayer. We are in uncharted territory now. This has never been done to a human anywhere on earth. This is a huge start, but we have a long way to go. Your support is greatly appreciated by my Family. Thank you.
