We're excited to welcome you to Gabriola! Please tread lightly when visiting our special island home. You can take part in protecting the unique beauty and vibrant community of Gabriola by respecting these tips:
Leave no trace by taking only photos and packing any garbage with you.
Share the road and be mindful of cyclists, pedestrians, wild turkeys, deer, and other travelers.
Consider coming without a vehicle and join our collective efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.
Use water mindfully, especially in drought seasons (like right now!)
Use our curbside compost and recycling bins and bring glass to the Gabriola Island Recycling Organization (GIRO).
Give back by donating your empties to the Hope Centre or GIRO.
