What an incredible day at the 4th Annual Gimli Red River Métis Day!

The Gimli Ice Festival was honoured to partner with the Gimli Red River Métis Local in bringing this outstanding community celebration to life.

It was wonderful to see such a tremendous turnout, welcoming visitors from across Manitoba and beyond. The day was filled with live entertainment, talented artisans, delicious food, family activities, and an incredible sense of community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Gimli Red River Métis Local, along with the many sponsors, volunteers, entertainers, artisans, vendors, community partners, and everyone who attended. Your dedication and support made this event an overwhelming success.

We are proud to have been part of such a meaningful celebration and look forward to many more opportunities to work together to strengthen our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—we'll see you again next year!

Tomorrow we welcome everyone to the 4th Annual Gimli Red River Métis Day!

Join us for a day filled with live entertainment, talented Indigenous artisans and vendors, delicious food, family-friendly activities, and a celebration of Red River Métis culture, heritage, and community.

New this year... we're excited to introduce our very first Dunk Tank Fundraiser! Get ready for plenty of laughs as some familiar faces take a seat above the water, including:

Eddie Fleury of The Breeze
Interlake Regional Director Clint Webb
Three members of the Gimli Fire Department..and a few more surprise participants!

Who will take the plunge? Come out, test your aim, and join in the fun while supporting the Gimli Red River Métis Local.

Be sure to experience our Métis Community Keychain Quest! Visit participating artisans and vendors to collect beads and a special stamp, then return to the Métis Day Keepsake Station to create your own commemorative 2026 Métis Day keychain and enter for a chance to win a prize.
