Good day from Turtle River Whitetails, I hope everyone is well.
I keep telling myself this is the last “stand” or last “new access trail” but it’s an allocation that was only partially used. Access has been tough, I average about a third of a mile daily. 25 days since we wrapped up last falls season and I feel my goals are in reach of completion ( maybe, lol ). I have a greater respect for the forestry industry as my arms and elbows get played out using axes and chainsaws. Maybe its my age more then anything??
Five new stands and approximately 8 miles of new trails have definitely opened up some great area. Can’t wait to see what’s out there!!
I will keep this short and leave s few pictures of goings on. Have s great summer!!

Good day everyone, I hope all is well. Just a quick update from Turtle River Outfitters. Winter has been remarkable, little snow and mild temperatures. This will help the deer herd and antler growth.
Our area has two trappers and success on catching wolves is also great news.
We have been busy on the chainsaws and putting in the work needed to get our entire allocation ready for next year.
Take care everyone and I will leave you with a few pictures of us out working on our allocation.

Happy New Year everybody!! We hope 2024 is a great year for all our friends and families.
I spent the weekend finishing up feeding and now it’s time to focus on more access routes going westward. Conditions are beyond what we are used to and that will benefit our deer herd tremendously. With two months of winter behind us,we still have only a skiff of snow and temps hovering around freezing during the day.
Take care!!

Hello from Parry and Trent. The season has wrapped up for 2023, but Parry and I will continue adding more hunting stand locations along with putting out our remaining feed for the deer.
It was a season like no other, warm weather was the trend and it certainly gave the deer other food sources. The stands were considerably slower from past years. Tough hunting conditions but the deer herd will benefit. Several decent bucks were taken and the hunters did a good job letting the young deer walk. They are our invaluable future.
I want to thank all the hunters for being great guests, we enjoyed all the stories and comrade.
Our first year went smoothly and a big thanks to all who helped us during the past month. Tremendous food and great help getting our hunters looked after in the field.
Lastly, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Good day from rainy Saskatchewan. Everyone is concerned about our fire situation but things are good here. The July long weekend seen heavy rains that continued into the following week. BC and parts of Alberta unfortunately are struggling with fires. Saskatchewan has 29 active fires today with 3 being not contained.
As far as our area goes; all is fine nothing remotely close.
I have been busy making one of my garage bays into a sitting room, finishing up the skinning shack, bought a couple Honda Rubicons and a bunch of other smaller details that are required to make a great camp.
Parry is out hanging cameras and opening new trails in our allocation. He also bought another Yamaha Grizzly, great quad. Both of us are busy getting ready for the upcoming season.
Jackie is going to let me decorate the sitting room (downstairs) and garage with lovely mounts, comfortable chairs!!, beer fridge, tv and other man cave items. Can’t wait for the season to get going.
The webpage has been down for awhile now and that’s on my list for today. A little confusion after the purchase but hopefully today I can clear things up. Our camp pictures need to be updated along with some other changes.
I hope everyone is having a great summer, enjoy the warm temps. I will leave you with a few pictures of some changes we are making, thanks Trent.
