With Zone 2 of Moose Management Area 2E opening on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Parks Canada would like to remind hunters that hunting within 1 kilometre of any construction zone is prohibited.

Please be advised that construction work at Barter’s Hill on Route 431 is ongoing. In addition, Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro will be conducting brush-clearing operations along the hydro line adjacent to McKenzies Brook Road on Route 431.

For the safety and protection of workers, please respect and follow all signage posted in the area while work is underway.

Well, this season has been beyond what we could have imagined! It’s been a very busy summer, for sure! As we are coming to the end of another season, our gift shop will be closing for the season after today! Our units will still be available to rent up to October 31st.

If you are looking for any last minute gifts or want to buy something for yourself, be sure to drop by today before 6pm! 😉

Well, we missed International Housekeeping Appreciation Week by a day, but that does not mean that we don’t appreciate our housekeeping staff any less!

Without our housekeeping staff, we’d be a mess!

We are celebrating the incredible ladies who keep the Middle Brook Cottages and Chalets spotless, welcoming, and ready for every guest!

🍂☕ Dear Shed Friends,

As you all know, here in this beautiful little town of Woody Point, when the leaves start turning those gorgeous shades of yellow and red, it means our season is slowly coming to an end. ❤️🍁

But… The Shed isn’t quite ready to let go yet! 🥰

Starting tomorrow, our new hours will be Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, and we’ll keep the coffee pouring and the treats coming until we officially say goodbye to our 2026 season on September 27th.

It’s always bittersweet to close our doors for another season, but what an incredible season it has been. We are beyond grateful for every single person who walked through our doors, stopped for a coffee, enjoyed a meal or a treat, shared a laugh, or simply came by to say hello. ❤️

The Shed would not be The Shed without all of you. Your support means more to us than you’ll ever know, and we hope you enjoyed every coffee, every treat, every meal and every smile as much as we enjoyed serving you.

We’re going to miss you all dearly when the doors close, but don’t worry… we already have some exciting things in the works for 2027! 👀☕✨

Until then, we still have a couple of weeks together, so come see us before September 25th and help us finish another beautiful season at The Shed. 🍂❤️
