Belly Acres Lodge is a quiet, family-oriented guest house located on the banks of the Belly River overlooking the beautiful mountains of Waterton National Park. This quaint church-house is a wonderful place for retreats, reunions, and relaxation! Make Southern Alberta one of your travel destinations this summer! The little community of Glenwood is nestled in the middle of many spectacular sightsee
ing opportunities, invigorating outdoor activities, and fascinating Alberta historical sites. We're only a short drive to Waterton National Park for hiking and 'high tea' at the Prince of Wales Hotel. We're centrally located for easy day-trips to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, The Fort Museum in Fort Macleod, Re*****on Carriage Museum and Cardston Alberta Temple, Frank Slide in Blairmore, the historic downtown of Fernie, and many more delightful destinations. Bring your fishing rod, your mountain bike, your backpack, and your entire family! Our accommodations include the 'Cowboy Room' (2 single beds), the 'Steeple Room' (1 double bed), the 'Bunk Room' (7 single bunkbeds), the 'Queen Suite' (2 queen beds & a crib), and we can't forget our rustic little cabin that sits near the airplane runway (for our flying enthusiasts). The lodge is a shared space, and our guests are welcome to enjoy the comfort of the Great Room, the TV lounge in the loft, and the living room and fully equipped kitchen on the lower level. If cooking isn't on your agenda for your vacation, Glenwood features Tina's Bakery, The Cactus Pit, Van Dan's General Store, and the delicious Glenwood Pioneer Ice Cream Parlour. The entire lodge can be booked for family reunions, weddings, retreats, and other larger gatherings. The lower floor can also be booked separately for smaller groups. Similar to a hostel setting, there are 2 bathrooms in the lodge that are shared between our guests (1 on the main floor and 1 on the lower floor). The Bunk Room is a small co-ed dorm. When the entire lodge or lower level is booked, additional guests can reserve non-serviced campsites at the farm, so they can bring their RVs to the family reunion or group gathering. Due to the shared kitchen and common areas, we cannot have pets in the Lodge.
