Our Story

Boo & his brother Cari were orphaned in 2002 when their mother was shot by a poacher, they initially went to Grouse Mountain whilst the beautiful 20 acre facility at Kicking Horse Resort was built. Boo now resides in this sub alpine mountain habitat enclosure, the largest of its kind in the world for a single grizzly bear, sadly Cari passed in 2004 due to a twist in his small intestinal track. Although Boo is now on his own, he thrives in his environment much the way a wild Grizzly would. Come and enjoy observing him being a bear and hear all about him and other bears from the tour guides.
