⛵️ THE GRAY CREEK REGATTA IS BACK! ⛵️

Join us at The Lakeview Store & Campground on September 5–6 for the historic Gray Creek Regatta on the east shore of Kootenay Lake!

Dust off your boat, hoist those sails and come out for a weekend of sailing, good fun, and lake life with the Kootenay Lake Sailing Association. 🌊⛵️

⛵️ Regatta Registration: $125/boat

Did you know? The first Gray Creek Regatta was held way back in 1922! The historic Gray Creek Challenge Shield, featuring deer antlers mounted on a wooden shield, was created in 1923. After a long hiatus, the regatta returned in 1974 and has been running continuously ever since. ❤️

THIS is what camping at Lakeview looks like. 🏕️🌊🌲

Your tent steps away from the water. A quiet morning with the lake right outside your door. Mountain views through the trees. Campfires(when it’s safe), fresh air, slow evenings and nowhere you need to be.

This beautiful photo was shared by our camper Jamie — thank you for capturing a little piece of your Lakeview experience! 🤍

One of our favourite things is seeing Lakeview through your eyes. Every photo, video, Reel, story and tag from your time here means so much to us. 🥹

So keep sharing those Lakeview moments! Tag us in your photos and videos so we can see what camping looks like for you 💙

We’re pretty lucky to call this place home. 🌲✨

🌲 Staying at The Lakeview? There’s SO much to explore!

One of the best parts of staying at Lakeview Store & Campground is having so many amazing things to see, do, eat, and explore all around us! ⛺️

✨ Head South — The Glass House & Creston
Just south of us, you’ll find the unique and unforgettable Glass House, built in 1952 from over 500,000 discarded embalming fluid bottles and open for tours from May through October. It’s definitely worth adding to your Kootenay adventure! Keep heading south and you’ll reach Creston, which is about an hour from Lakeview and has plenty of shopping, restaurants, cafés and local attractions to explore.

🎨 Head North — Crawford Bay
Take a scenic 10 minute drive north to Crawford Bay and spend some time exploring the talented Artisans of Crawford Bay. Wander through the studios, watch local craftspeople at work, grab a bite at one of the great restaurants or cafés, and enjoy the laid-back Crawford Bay vibe.

🗼 Pilot Bay Lighthouse
Keep exploring around the bay and hike your way to Pilot Bay Lighthouse and explore the Pilot Bay Provincial Park for beautiful scenery and a little Kootenay history.

⛴️ Kootenay Lake Ferry
Catch the ferry from Kootenay Bay over to Balfour and open up even more adventures!

The kootenay lake ferry is the worlds longest FREE ferry ride in the world, crossing the lake in 35 minutes. Once you’re off the ferry in Balfour, Nelson is only about a 30-minute drive, making for a great day trip to explore the city, grab lunch, shop, or wander around.

♨️ Ainsworth Hot Springs
And if you’re heading north from the Balfour side of the ferry, Ainsworth Hot Springs is another must-do Kootenay stop. Soak, relax and take in the mountain scenery before heading back to the lake.

🏕️ The best part?
You can spend the day exploring and come back to your own little spot at Lakeview , right on beautiful Kootenay Lake.

Lakeview is more than a place to stay, it’s an experience. 💙

🌊 One of the best parts about staying with us? The beach is steps away from your campsite.

There are natural pebble & sandy lakefront stretches and quiet little pockets of beach tucked around the campground, which means there’s always a spot to settle in and enjoy the beauty of Kootenay Lake.

Spend your mornings with a coffee by the water, your afternoons swimming and soaking up the sun, and your evenings watching the sunset from the shore. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax, or make fun memories with the family, our lakefront has something for everyone.
