RiverGrove is booked October 7-10th for the Chii By Ceremony hosted by Ulnooweg Education Centre.

The Chii by Ceremony (Ancestors Ceremony/ Ghost Dance is a ceremony to honour the Ancestors and connect with loved ones who have departed to the Spirit World.

The ceremony begins at 6pm with a potluck feast. Please bring white and black cloth and to***co for your Offerings.

Fasters are welcome.

This event is open to the public.

The entire province is in the midst of a severe draught warning, and so the Nova Scotia government has issued a province wide burn ban, and requires everyone to stay out of the woods until October 15th, or until conditions improve.

Propane fire is still allowed, and camping is restricted to campgrounds only. Unfortunately, to get to the river you need to go through the forest, so the river is currently unavailable.
