Rooting around in the basement with a flashlight this weekend I found this piece of paper folded on a shelf and was surprised to see it is a certificate from Maritine Business College to former property owner Aubrey Horton. This was dated 98 years ago 😊. A Horton tin stencil fell on my head three years ago in the boat house; think this guy might be trying to tell me something lol.

Had an unexpected visitor Sunday. Dog was pretty excited too. It's pretty cool to sit on your deck having a coffee and listening to a whale come to the surface every few minutes. Gets boring after awhile lol. NOT.

Found what looks to be a piece of an old clay bowl on the beach very close to where Mi'kmiq had a settlement in late 1600's. Hanging onto this piece.

It's not easy centering pics in a floating frame!! Who doesn't love black and white photos in a retro room?? My daddy on my parents honeymoon enjoying a fine cigar and a beverage, sitting on the front steps at Nanny Hulls and making out with my mama. Who wouldn't be enchanted with that vixen in the two piece bikini? 😁

Third bedroom finished 😍😍. And my retro room as my tribute to the best childhood ever in Guysborough with great friends like the Sutherlands, the Gosbees, Heather Dort and Angela Fitzgerald, the Gradys and Beth Jones. Still a few finishing touches but you get the idea. Still miss our little apartment above Big Gs. Don't want to get old but cant wait to retire here.

I think this might quite possibly be going to be my favorite room in the house. Channeling an overnight visit to Grandma's house in this sweet little bedroom with the twin bed. Goodbye green walls and goodbye gray floors. I'll post the finished picture when the last roll of wallpaper arrives. Oh and look at who is never far behind mama LOL.

We are booking up quickly for the summer months but are toying around with finding a full time tenant for year round starting this fall.

We have 3 or 4 bedrooms, a little room upstairs for home office, two large living rooms (one with dining space), large kitchen (it has been renovated so looks different than in the picture but that gives you an idea of layout), two full bathrooms AND a 2 car garage with storage area. We would also consider opening the shop nearer the water so if someone needed work space close to home that would be available as long as I could occasionally get my kayak in and out 😊

If you know of anyone looking for a yearly rental that might find this suitable please inbox me. Wonderful location on the water but very close to the school, hospital and Fitness Complex.
House could come furnished or we can remove it and store it. Oil heat was very reasonable but there is a wood stove in the kitchen as well. Rent can be discussed.
