I grew up at these cottages, and winter wouldn't be winter if it wasn't for the occasional sound of the distant or not so distant snowmobiles enjoying the well groomed trails of the Trails. It looks like the trails are beginning to become available and we're thrilled to welcome sledders. I love how close we are to Harcourt General Store for fantastic coffee, LCBO outlet, gas, and convenience items, and Algonquin Cookhouse has amazing food and is a mere 2km away.

We’ve had some work done recently. In addition to a cozy woodstove, we’ve added electric baseboard heaters and have upgraded some insulation. It’s quite cozy now.

After a day of snowshoeing or sledding. It’s sometime nice to curl up in front of a movie. Another new addition, is a projector. 😁

Whew! We had quite the snowfall yesterday.

I often get asked if the road and driveway are plowed. There is also plenty of room for a truck with sled trailer in the driveway too. Rest assured, everything is taken care of. Even the deck that lead to the bbq is shovelled.

The autumn colours have started at the lake. I grew up here, and at this time of year, my mother would make applesauce and preserved apples for the winter. Each season had a different smell of food cooking on the stove.

Here I am working away, cleaning and painting preparing for the day when guests are allowed to return, and then I look up and see the stunning colours from the sunset last night. My heart is full from the beauty of it.
