Well this is something you don't see every day, ME playing horseshoes. I even won a prize: SKUNK! Along with my great partner, Kate Comeau. Had fun and didn't hit anyone with the horseshoe.
The 50/50 once again went to Dave Walker with a total of $210.
Runners up, or as we like to call it, Sorry About Your Luck, went to Scott Bell and Mark Milliner after a fierce battle.
They were beat out for third place by Jeannie LaPorte and Sharon Byng.
Second place went to Brandis Smith and Rob Willis.
First place was taken by Ethan Grigg and Chris Simpson.
Most ringers for women went to Sharon Byng with 9, and most ringers for the men went to Scott Bell with 13.
I want to thank Tessa and Rilyn for all their help, not only this tournament but all season. I also want to thank Brandis for all the great shooters and special shots for our very thirsty players she created this year.
Had a great season and hope to see you all again next July for our new season.

Did anyone find a coloured tubing rope on the picnic table at the beach last weekend?
I was it left there by accident. If anyone has it please return to Rick or Sharon. Thanks.

🔥 FIRE BAN NOTICE 🔥
The fire ban continues to be in effect for Haliburton County. That means no campfires, open flames, or burning of any kind is permitted until further notice.
We understand that campfires are a big part of the camping experience and it’s disappointing not to have one — but safety comes first. This ban is in place to protect our guests, staff, and the beautiful environment we all enjoy.
Let’s all do our part and follow the rules to keep everyone safe. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Another great horseshoe tournament with lots of great people and awesome weather, August 2025. Before I begin I'd like to thank Todd's Your Independent Grocer for their amazing donation. We really appreciated it.
I would like to give a big shout out and thanks to Rilyn Simpson for her help with the 50/50, Tessa Hagerman for her help with keeping track of scores and pitching in with the 50/50 when needed, and to Hailey Simpson for her overall support.
Once again we had ties for the most ringers. This weekend went to Dawn Marie Simpson and Sharon Byng for the women with 6 ringers each. Most ringers for the men went to Jay Titus and Jack Morrison who tied with 17 each.
1st Place went to Sharon Byng and Scott Bell
2nd Place went to Dawn Marie Simpson and Jack Morrison
3rd Place went to Mark Milliner and Rick Arnott
And lowest points total (a.k.a. skunk) went to Melissa Goltz and Ted Wagner. Thank you for playing Melissa, you made it the perfect number of players.
Just a reminder we have one more to go this year, Labour Day Weekend, which is coming much to soon for my liking.
Thanks again everyone for coming out to play and cheer us on, and we hope to see you again for the next one.

Congrats to Stephan Henderson who won $275 from the 50/50 at our August 2025 tournament. Lucky draw for you.
