Meet Yvette and Carol.

Before many of our guests begin their day, these two remarkable team members are already welcoming them with a genuine good morning at our Harbour City Restaurant.

Yvette has been part of our story since 1985, bringing heartfelt hospitality to every shift for 41 years. Carol joined us in 1987 and, for 39 years, has filled our breakfast experience with kindness.

They remember when the hotel was Chateau Halifax, part of Canadian Pacific Hotels & Resorts, and our dining spaces were known as Crown Bistro and Sam Slick’s. As the hotel became Hotel Halifax and now Delta Hotels by Marriott Halifax Downtown, the restaurant evolved into Harbour City, the place they continue to bring to life each morning. Through every name and every transformation, Yvette and Carol have remained a constant. Their compassion and genuine care make guests feel at home and remind us that hospitality has always been about people.
