Laundry attendants provide excellent guest service and ensure that hotel guests and room attendants are provided with clean linens daily.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional guest service by having a Yes I’d be pleased to help you attitude.
2. To operate, clean, and maintain washers and dryers.
3. To replenish laundry chemicals as required.
4. To sort and separate soiled linens.
5. To separate and fold clean linens.
6. To restock all room attendants with clean linen.
7. To assist room attendants with stripping guest room linens from check outs.
8. To clean out lint trap behind washers.
9. To clean out lint screens in the dryers daily.
10. To dust, sweep and mop laundry room.
11. To remove all garbage daily.
12. To report to work well groomed with a clean uniform and your name tag on at all times when on duty.
13. To develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all departments and personnel.
14. To perform additional tasks when required by your supervisor.
15. To fill in as a room attendant when necessary during busy times.

- Clean & disinfect washrooms
- Deliver and retrieve items for guests, ex. cots & cribs
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests

Future Inns Halifax is seeking a Part-time Front Desk Agent (leading to Full-time) to become an integral member of our service team. As a Front Desk Agent you will often be the guest’s first and last impression of our property, so your skills in guest service and your professional and positive attitude will be your strongest contribution to our success.

Typical shifts are from 6:45am-3:15pm, and 3:00pm to 11:00pm. We require coverage on evenings, weekends and holidays. Based on business levels, other scheduled shifts may be created to reflect arrival and departure volume. Weekends, evenings and holidays are an important part of our hotel operation, so we look for agents who have flexible availability.

Responsibilities Include:

Working with Opera, our hotel Property Management System
Checking Guests in and out of the hotel
Processing reservations over the telephone, and Internet
Providing concierge service such as giving area information and directions
Processing, reconciling and balancing credit cards, cash, and other forms of payment
Following daily shift checklists
Coordinating group arrivals, reservations and modifications
Performing group and function billing
Processing guest mail, faxes, packages, and dry cleaning requests
Proactively interacting with other departments in the hotel to maximize effectiveness
