A Back-to-School Message from EDGE1 Equipment
As backpacks go on and school buses roll out, we have one small favour to ask every parent, grandparent and caregiver:
Before your kids walk through those school doors, take five minutes to remind them that kindness matters.
✨ There is never a reason to make fun of someone because of their height, weight, skin colour, religion, home life, abilities, clothes, or the things they enjoy.
✨ It’s okay to wear the same shoes every day. A used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
✨ Excluding someone because they’re “different” isn’t cool. Including them is.
✨ School should be a place for learning, growing and belonging — not judging, teasing or competing over who has more.
✨ Some children walk into school carrying things far heavier than their backpacks. They may be dealing with struggles at home that no one else can see. Teach your children to be the reason someone feels included today.
Let’s raise children who are kind when nobody is watching, who stand up for someone being left out, and who understand that being different is never a reason to be treated differently.
