We are a non-smoking home and open year round as a B&B but also a place for your next meeting or event.

If you recall, last December we moved out of the Meiklejohn House for 2 weeks so filming for a mini series, by Max Topplin could be filmed! This morning we watched the first episode! Interesting!

Since we are supposed to stay home during this nasty pandemic, the Boss decided that it was time to work on the library. When we bought the place 12 years ago, there had been a leak above one of the windows in the library, and had damaged the plaster moulding. Since that time we have talked to a number of people on repairing it, but no one seemed to be interested in tackling it. Since we were going to be stuck here indoors for a while, I thought now would be a good time to give it a shot. The plaster has been repaired, the ceiling & walls painted, and the the wood work & floor cleaned and a fresh coat of urethane applied! Now to restore some order...

Since we have no guests due to the pandemic, the Boss says it time to spring clean. I don't think the washing machine knew what hit it! Every drape, shear,and bedding has been washed! Its Friday and Five bedrooms are done! Upstairs ready for a new season. Now for the outdoors. Looking for sunshine!

It took a couple of months, but the front porch is finally ready to use again! (I said i'd have it ready by September and Saturday morning when i finished staining the floor it was still August, so i made the deadline.....!) Hope a lot of our guests get a chance to use it this fall.
