Looking to try something new in the North?

Another dream coming to reality!!!

A big loop around Northern Ontario by the backroads. A topic discussed many times with my dad over the past couple of years and it being an idea of one day making it happen! The day has finally come! We are leaving on September 21st.

Who will be joining us for this first ever 5 Northern Town Backroad Adventure?

This is a trial trip! Trial trip means even the guides have never done it. They can be really special as we discover new areas, gems and roads together for the first time. Perfect for people looking for the thrill of the adventure, the unknown and exploration.

Hotels, restaurants, gas stops are all booked and planned for you. You must be able to carry enough gas for 250km.

Riding speed: Ranges from 70-90km/h. Adventure Bikes will be at the front. We wait at every intersection and regroup every 20km.

For those who are looking at the map and see that the loop won't connect back, unfortunately there is no way to come back to Hearst by backroads, so on the Sunday night, we will drive our trucks and trailers to a parking spot where they will wait fo us to get back to them.

We’re looking for a reliable, people-focused Assistant Manager to help keep daily operations running smoothly at our hotel. If you naturally step in where needed, enjoy supporting both guests and staff, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you.

ABOUT THE ROLE...
As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with hotel management across multiple departments to ensure an exceptional experience for both guests and team members. This is a hands-on support role that requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. This role begins immediately and primarily covers a maternity leave for all 2027 months; however possibility of extension or moving within the team after the term is over is strongly possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES...
- Support day-to-day hotel operations
- Assist guests with questions, concerns, and requests
- Assist with inventory, room supplies, food & other hotel needs
- Help coordinate staff and maintain smooth workflow between departments
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are met
- Assist with scheduling, team communication, and operational tasks
- Assist with training and support of the team
- Step in where needed to support management and staff
- Help maintain a welcoming, professional hotel environment

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR...
- 100% bilingual
- Possess G2 or G license
- Puts guest satisfaction above all else
- Positive attitude & team-first mindset
- Strong communication & problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask & stay organized
- Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Flexible, honest & dependable
- Comfortable working occasional weekends
