Housekeeping Staff – Part-Time @ Anchorage House & Cottages Hubbards, Nova Scotia
Join our small, family-owned team at Anchorage House & Cottages. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff member to help us maintain the spotless, welcoming environment our guests love and rave about.
As part of our close-knit team (run by Kate and Lee with our two kids often pitching in!), you'll play a key role in creating those "home-away-from-home" moments for couples, families, and groups visiting from near and far.
Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean and prepare cottages and suites between guest stays, including:
•Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
•Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and kitchenettes
•Changing linens, making beds, and restocking towels, toiletries, and guest amenities
•Washing dishes, emptying trash, and ensuring BBQs/decks are tidy
•Spot-cleaning common areas, pool surroundings, and outdoor spaces as needed
•Restock housekeeping carts/supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly
•Follow our high standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation to ensure every guest arrives to a fresh, inviting space
•Assist with laundry (linens/towels) and occasional deep cleans during turnovers
•Work collaboratively with the team to handle check-out/check-in turnarounds efficiently
What We're Looking For:
•Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience is an asset (hotel, resort, cottage rental, or residential OK)
•Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality, consistent results
•Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
•Physically able to handle lifting (up to 25–30 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods
•Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a genuine love for making spaces feel welcoming
•Flexible availability, including weekends, mornings, and peak season (June–September); part-time hours with potential for more during busy periods
