Last night as soon as it got dark the Northern Lights lit up the sky! Meeting up with the Milky Way across the lake, it was an incredible night to mark the end of the season ✨

The dock and filleting shack are now closed and we are ‘officially’ closed for another season. Of course the work doesn’t end yet, we will still be busy around the campground for quite awhile!

Full out fall colours 🍂 Before the wind took its toll on the leaves this past weekend, I was able to get out to capture the beauty of peak fall colours around here!

Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful view while we close down services for the season. Most camping services are shut down & the dock and filleting shack will be closed up after this weekend.

We may be a bit more rustic, far from the main highways and have very little cell service… But that’s why we love it 😊💚 just a small campground on the lake in the forest.

A place to Unplug. Recharge. & Reconnect. How it was meant to be.

Summer is coming to an end.. we are open for the next couple weekends before we shut down for the season. The leaves are just starting to turn and it’s going to be full fall colours soon 🍂

Be Bear Aware 🐻 the last few weeks there have been several bears spotted east of the campground in the McBride cabin subdivision - even during the middle of the day! There hasn’t been any activity in the campground past the boat launch yet, all sightings have been east of the creek and mostly in the cabin area. But this time of year things get more quiet around here so always be aware and watch for sign they are around.

The Conservation Officers have been able to trap a few of them and safely relocate them (thank you 👏) but be aware there are more.
-stay calm, back away and give them space
-make noise while out walking
-Always keep a clean campsite
-keep pets on a leash
-make sure children are aware of what to do
