​We want to share a quick update regarding the active wildfires in our area. While Ignace is in a pre-evacuation alert, we are currently open and operating. We are keeping a very close eye on the situation, as we know conditions can change quickly. Your safety and comfort are always our top priorities.

🌅 First the sunset, then the show... 🎆

​Even though Mother Nature had other plans on July 1st and the Canada Day fireworks had to be postponed, our weekend guests got the ultimate double feature Friday night!

​Before the fireworks even started, we were treated to an absolutely stunning, vibrant sunset painting the sky right over the lake. Then, the main event: the fireworks were set off from the island across the water, giving everyone at the Lone Pine Inn a front-row seat.

​Talk about a perfect summer evening in Ignace. ✨

Now you see me, now you don’t! 🪶✨ How many baby ducks playing hide-and-seek? Blink and you’ll miss ’em! Loved catching this view, right from the balcony. 🥰

They sure don’t make ’em like they used to! 🛠️🌲

​Check out the handmade furniture in our second floor rooms. Every single piece was built back in the 60s and 70s by the original owner, Mike Szyszka. He made them right across the street in the garage—and we’re still finding unused original wood tucked away up in the rafters. 🪚

​While we’ve made a lot of updates to the place, we just couldn't part with these pieces of the past. If you look closely on the custom wooden lampshades - when you spin the shade around, the letters actually spell out LONE 🌲 MOTEL! 💡✨
