🚗 Getting here:
Coming from the south on Hwy 83, you can come through the barricades to access the campground. I have spoken with the authorities and they have confirmed this is okay.

Coming from the north on Hwy 83, turn east onto Road 136 and work your way down to the campground.

Come on out for some live music, good food and a great evening at the campground! 🎶🌅

Hello everyone! A reminder that "Ed and Amy" will be performing for us at the campground on Thursday August 27, 2026 from 7 - 9 pm. The concession will be open starting at 5:00 pm. Come on down and check out how far we have gotten on cleaning all the mess that came in with the flood. You can see them working on the Highway 83 bridge from the campground. This video I took on Saturday August 22, 2026. The river has changed a lot. Power of old Mother Nature. Weather looks nice and sunny for Thursday. End of summer is coming so come out while the weather is good.

So excited to have some people camping down at the campground this weekend. We have a family reunion and the weather is beautiful. Concession will be open a little bit later today. It’ll open at 2 o’clock till 8 o’clock tomorrow Sunday, August 23. It’ll be open from 1 to 8.

Asessippi Beach & Campground concession is open Friday August 21 Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23. Friday 1 - 8 pm. Saturday 3 - 8 p.m.. Sunday 1 - 8 p.m. Have you been craving a Beach Burger? Maybe a Butter Pecan Tart with Butter Pecan Ice Cream? Yes you can come down Highway #83 from the south through the barricade at the top of the hill and come to the campground that way. I checked with the authorities and they said no problem if you are coming down to the Campground.

Don't forget Amy and Ed are playing at the campground on Thursday August 27 from 7 - 9 pm.

Just a few photos of the campground on Sunday July 12, 2026. It’s still really wet still hard to get around! So much land is gone and so much sand was brought in with the water! Unbelievable what water can do! I have at least 14 campsites that are gone!!

I took some drone footage of the flood at the campground July 2, 2026. All 13 campsites at the bottom, parking area, paddling pool, beach, beach huts all are under water. This is the second time. First time was June 10, 2026. Once again thinking of everyone dealing with the flood. It affects every single one of us in the area. With roads out everywhere even the train tracks are damaged. Flooded homes. Unbelievable.

Here is an updated video that I took today July 2 around 2:30 today. I took a stroll down the road towards the campground to see how the culvert was doing and they had to cut the road because the water was going to go over the road and the water flowed where they cut there road for a little bit, but then it decided to make its own path.😲
