Another beautiful day here on Heffley Lake! There’s nothing quite like waking up by the water and soaking up these blue, sunny skies. 💙

Not staying with us? No problem! Our water rentals are open until 5:30 PM. Come take advantage of this gorgeous weather and get out on the lake with a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe!

August 11th smoke update.

At this time, we are not in direct threat of wildfire, and Lakeside Heffley Hideaway remains fully operational. Smoke conditions in the area have been coming and going throughout the day, however we are still seeing moments of beautiful blue sky.

We want our guests to feel informed and reassured that your safety is always our top priority. If our area were to come under an evacuation alert or order, or if conditions changed and we were placed at direct risk, we would take all necessary precautions and follow the direction of local authorities.

For now, we are open and welcoming guests as usual. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep our guests informed of any significant changes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone across British Columbia who has been affected by the wildfires, and with all of the incredible first responders and crews working tirelessly to keep our communities safe. 🤍

Important Notice – Public Boat Launch Closure

We have been advised by the Heffley Lake Association, following direction from Recreation Sites and Trails BC, that the public boat launch located down the road will be closed effective August 4th.

This also serves as a reminder that our private boat launch is not open to the public. Unauthorized access has been an ongoing issue for us, with individuals regularly attempting to enter or sneak onto our property to launch. This has never been permitted and remains strictly prohibited.

Our resort is private property and is reserved exclusively for our registered in-house guests.

If you have rented a paddle board, canoe, kayak, or inflatable dock from us, you are welcome to launch your rental from our boat launch. However, renting equipment does not include day-use privileges or access to our docks, beach, or other resort facilities. Rentals are for the watercraft only.

With the public boat launch now closed, we anticipate an increase in unauthorized access. We will be monitoring our property more closely and strictly enforcing our policies to ensure a comfortable experience our guests, our facilities, and our business.

We kindly ask everyone to respect that our resort is private property and not a public access point. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
