Tarryall Resort

Tarryall Resort Seasonal park open May 15 to September 15, located on Catherine Lake, off 596 Hwy north of Kenora. Limited overnight camping with no hookups. There is no hydro.

There are 60 seasonal lots and cabins, with a convenience store store. Tarryall Resort has been around for over 50 years. Since 2002, it has been run by the Dimit family - first by Roger and Martha Dimit, and now by their son Dache, and his wife, Cheryl. We are 15 minutes northwest on Hwy 596, off the Highway 17A bypass, north of Kenora. We have 60 seasonal RV sites and 8 seasonal cabin rentals. I

n addition, we keep three camping spots for overflow and the odd random traveller. Tarryall is off-grid and offers a clean, safe and relaxing environment for our clients to spend their summer months, with access to some of the best fishing in Northwestern Ontario. Whether its a day on the beach, reading your book in your RV or heading out to fish, Tarryall is your home away from home. With no access to power (or phones!), it is the perfect getaway to disconnect from the hectic world. But just beware, once you are here, you may find you tarry!!

We have had some questions about opening camp due to the Ingolf/Malachi/Ottomere fire. As the fire is on the other side of Pelican Pouch to us, we will be opening camp tomorrow as planned. However, it should come as no surprise that there will be no fires permitted for the foreseeable future, until we can get some rain. Also, as Dache (and the rest of the amazing PUFF fire team) have been busy putting out local fires recently, and the wind has been horrible, we are not done the docks yet, so if you plan on parking a boat, it is best you come speak to us first! See you all soon!

It's spring! (well...kinda) Hope you all had a fabulous winter and are ready to move towards summer! We are about 6 weeks to opening so thought we would give an update. There is still a lot of snow on the ground, so access up into camp is a few weeks away. There's also about 20 inches of ice still on Catherine, so we are really going to need the weather to warm up and cooperate. Lots fees $1,900 plus HST ($2,147.00) and can be e-transferred to Dache at [email protected]. See you soon!

And May long is here! Happy to report there is no fire ban. However, although we have received some rain recently, it is still fairly dry so a reminder to keep your fires small and never leave unattended! Sad to report that the creek remains unpassable to boat traffic due to the beaver dams, so plan accordingly if you plan on fishing when the season opens tomorrow. And welcome back!!

Wow! May is upon us and opening is just around the corner. Official camp opening is still May 15, but since that is a Monday, we expect some may want to come up this weekend to clean up a bit, and that is fine. FYI pretty muddy up in camp so bring boots! Currently no fire ban in place, but as there was less precipitation than normal over the winter, that may be in our future if a lot more rain doesn't fall. We will keep you all updated. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
