When we say things are popping on the farm, they are Popping!
Everything has pretty much exploded over the past few weeks, but that's farming. We've been at this for a little over 35 years now and we know our timelines pretty well, but this year has been everything but normal.
And you don't just get to say "we'll do that next week" 😅
🧄 Huge garlic harvest today... a month early.
🍓 Raspberries started to color up a week ago with a single small bowl. I pick every day, today was 6 lbs and rising... a month early.
🥬 Lesley is supplying There & Back Again Farms again this year with amazing garden greens, farm fresh eggs and her stunning Dahlias which will be in blossom early if this trend continues.
There's no doubt... farming can be somewhat reactive and this year we are totally reacting, but that's what makes it invigorating (I know, invigorating is a stretch for most aha).
It's certainly not for everyone, but honestly... we wouldn't have it any other way.
