Front Desk Agent will be stationed at the Borgata Lodge in Kelowna BC.
This position is considered full time and will be scheduled for evenings roughly 12pm - 8pm Wednesday to Friday and Weekends (9am - 5pm). Part time weekends only also an option.
Front Desk Agent will be responsible for reservations, check in and check out, guest inquiries and services. The selected candidate will ensure reservations and guest records are accurate, communicate daily with teammates to ensure business activities run smoothly and assist with additional tasks assigned by the General Manager.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to learn about the operations of a Hotel or Property Management Company. There is much opportunity for taking on a variety of additional tasks to exercise existing skills or discover new ones.
This is currently a seasonal position with estimated start date now until the start of September. Further employment opportunities may be available on Part Time basis after this point.
Candidate will report directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications
Grade 12 or Equivalent
Post Secondary Education an asset
Prior Experience in Hotel or as Office Administrator an asset
Prior Customer Service Experience an asset
Skills
Ability to manage time effectively and organize accordingly for completion of daily tasks
Able to keep calm under pressure and complaint handle effectively
Self motivated to deliver superior service
Able to clearly communicate with teammates, guests and owners in a timely manner
Candidate will be expected to work in a professional and pleasant manner with others and contribute positively to team work environment
Knowledgeable or willing to learn computer programs, such as PMS software, Microsoft Word and Excel etc.
Answer phone calls and inquires in a prompt and professional manner
Must be able to work on own without supervision
Must be able to learn and execute sales techniques with confidence
Must be able to problem solve effectively and be confident in making decisions in General Managerβs absence
Willing to work outside general job parameters to assist other departments from time to time and ensure operations run smoothly, may need to periodically take on the following assignments:
Housecleaning, maintenance, supply runs, emergency on-call response and concierge services, social media marketing etc.
