We are even open during the winter, offering 18 km of groomed cross-country ski trails. Only a 2.5 hour drive from Winnipeg and a half hour from Kenora, come check us out!

Today is the last operating day for the nook! 😢

The nook will be open from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM today. If you have to return any keys and equipment after 6 PM today, make sure to drop them off at the gatehouse to get your deposit returned.

Thinking of exploring nearby Eagle-Dogtooth Provincial Park? Access is available through Rushing River Provincial Park!

Rushing River Provincial Park is located on Dogtooth Lake which is the start of many canoe routes through Eagle-Dogtooth Provincial Park. Some of these routes travel through lakes such as Kilvert Lake, Eagle Lake, White Lake, Winnage Lake, and even Lake of The Woods!

Many visitors choose Rushing River Provincial Park as the perfect place to launch their canoe from. Stop by park office, where staff can provide more information and issue your nightly parking pass for your vehicle.

A few things to keep in mind for a safe trip:

🌲Research your trip before you leave so you know your route
🛶Know your skillset, and travel within your personal limits
☀️Leave a trip plan with someone at home
🌊Pack a map, compass, GPS, and first aid kit
🌿 Leave no trace! Ensure you are leaving your camping spots as clean as you found them

Recreational forest users, including campers, are responsible for 200 wildfires per year.

Here's how you can have a safe campfire at Ontario Parks:

🔥 Only use the designated fire pit
🔥 Keep your fire less than one metre in height and diameter
🔥 Never leave your campfire unattended
🔥 Put it out by pouring lots of water on the fire until the ashes don't hiss
🔥 Collecting deadwood or bark from the campground is not permitted

How to wash dishes on your campsite:

🍽️ Fill a bin with water
💧 Boil water using your stove
🥛 Wash dishes in bin and set out to dry
🚽 Dispose of dish water down the vault toilet or at the trailer sanitation station

Never wash your dishes at the water tap or in the comfort station!
