Wild Woods Hideaway is a rustic eco-resort tucked into the forest along the shores of Mink Bay in Kenora, Ontario. We want to make camping available and enjoyable to as many people as possible by providing rustic, hand-crafted accommodations at reasonable prices, access to beautiful and diverse all-season trails, a wood-fired sauna, a dock for swimming and use of canoes, kayaks and paddleboards to

explore the lake. We are ideally located to offer a wilderness vacation experience combined with the convenience of being located on the outskirts of the city of Kenora. It is possible to walk from our tents and cabins to some of the best restaurants in town or to pick up whatever you forgot to pack at the local grocery store. Whether it is winter, spring, summer or fall, Wild Woods Hideaway provides what you need to rest, play and explore the lake and forest of the Canadian Shield.

We have had several guests reach out concerned about whether we have been affected by the wildfires in the Whiteshell and northwest of Kenora. We appreciate the concern and are fortunate to have been unaffected at this point though we are also grateful that it looks like rain is coming early next week. June is a great time of year to enjoy the warmer weather and also benefit from a quieter camp before the official start of summer. If you are hoping to come out in July or August, it's definitely time to book as well as those months are filling up.

As the winter holidays come to a close we hope everyone mostly enjoyed theirs. As the days begin to lengthen (and hopefully get warmer) we are starting to anticipate spring at the camp. New this year is Yarrow Tiny Cabin, overlooking the water and proximate to the waterfront sauna. We have also upgraded the water heater for the main shower building which should give more precise and consistent temperature control to the shower. Finally we have installed heat pumps in two units (Burdock Tiny Home and Hawthorne Log Cabin) which will provide heating in the spring and fall and cooling in the summer.

We are also already taking bookings for the new year and you can book online at wildwoodshideaway.ca/booking !! If you are new here we offer rustic Log Cabins, Tiny Cabins, Prospector Tents and a Tiny home for rustic camping style stays. You can cozy up around fire pits or in wood fired saunas or adventure out on our trails, with a swim or with our canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, and stand up paddle boards (watercraft use is included with every booking). Prices range from 98 to 140 dollars during the week and are 15 dollars more on weekends.
