Name on this ship is Kingdoc, later had several more names. think it is 1963 in Fort William. This ship got around haa. Few years later, my Uncle Ron and Ed Sr. took me with them and I got to see the inside of a larger freighter ship. Inside the stairway etc, massive amounts of gleaming highly polished wood, It looked like something in a movie. So clean and majestic. It was not this ship but a bigger one.

Cabin #2, again, haa, Joe Ruhl. note the chimney in the roof, that got taken out over the years, but at one time all the buildings on Island had wood stoves, even what they called "Airtights" I threw a log in my staff cabin stove one night and it was full of pitch, the stove was acutally jumping off the floor, so I ran screaming to get my father and he opened it up with two big pokers , landed the burning piece on the floor and he kicked it down the slope into the water, cool as could be haaa,
