We are aware of the fact many people have been getting scam emails and WhatsApp messages.
The scam messages will ask you for your credit card information and claim you have an urgent payment due. They know the booking details, names, emails and phone numbers.
Please do not click the link.
We found out this morning that webrezpro has been hacked. Webrezpro is an online system that supports many hotels and businesses like ours.
They have logged us and every other business out and seemed to have shut down the site entirely in attempt to resolve the issue and protect any future bookings from being made or accessed by the hackers.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do on our end, this is something only webrezpro can and is working to fix.
What we are working on doing is making sure everyone is aware and letting you know not to click the links.
We also know as of right now that whoever hacked webrezpro does NOT have credit card information as those details are heavily protected by the banks. No one, not the businesses nor anyone on the webrezpro team can access those details. Only the last 4 digits and the cvcs are shown. We do not know if they have those.
We understand this is difficult information to hear and incredibly concerning. I wish we could do more but as mentioned this is affecting the entirety of webrezpro, we are not the only hotel/lodge experiencing this and as of right now we have no access to our ends of the site.
Please DO NOT click any links in messages or emails that are not sent by us. We do not use WhatsApp to contact people.
Any email sent by us will have our fish logo at the top with oyama lake written on it. Oyama Lake Lodge is written beneath the logo. There will be an image of the cabin you have booked followed by the reservation summary and our cancellation policy. At the bottom it will say Oyama Lake Lodge followed by all of our information. Only our guest agreements have a link to pay and unpaid deposits it will not explicitly say you have an urgent or outstanding payment and it will not ask you to convert it to euro.
