Crown House Bed & Breakfast

Crown House Bed & Breakfast Quiet and relaxing, but many fabulous day trips, including Victoria. Enjoy the excitement, then come back to the quiet.

Hot breakfast provided each morning, including vegan, gluten free, and lactose free. Three outdoor seating areas to eat, or at our dining room table or eat in kitchen. Both rooms have a large shower (big enough for two!), and one has mobility bars and a sit down bench. There is a chair lift also available for those with mobility issues. The public boat launch is immediately across the street. Or,

perhaps you wish to sit on the balcony and listen to the many birds as you watch the lake. There is a swimming hole, called Duck Pond, that is two blocks away. It is called a pond, but it is really the Cowichan river. There is a stationary barge in the middle of the river that you can swim out to. To get to the downtown core, there is a bridge from Duck Pond across the river, and you are there. There is a new ice cream shop in town with deep fried ice cream! We also have a new sushi restaurant, as well as some fast food favourites like A&W, Tim Hortons (24 hours), and Curry in a Hurry. Jakes at the Lake has some great beer, Shaker Mill has live music on the weekends, and The Cow Cafe is a local favourite. River Tubing is one of the most fun things to do in the summer. 2.5 hours drifting down the river, and a ride back to the Tube Shack at the end. We have many wineries within a few minutes drive, and you could spend a day taking the tour. There is a ferry to Salt Spring Island located in Crofton, which is about half an hour drive from here. Randy Bachman of Bachman Turner Overdrive lives on this island, and there are many things to do on the island including a self guided studio tour of over 30 studios. We are located on the Circle Tour, which includes many places to stop and enjoy the sites along the way. http://www.pacificmarinecircleroute.com It's a lovely ride on a bike. We have information available here to help you find the things you would most like to do while staying at with us in our home as your base of operations. We have space to park your boat should you bring it.

So many changes over the last couple of years. We installed a swim spa last year, a heat pump this year. We repainted and added wallpaper to both rooms last year as well. During 2020 at the beginning of covid we added air cleaners to the rooms with UV functionality to kill viruses and bacteria. We are constantly improving our facilities!
