We're in the final few weeks of our staff competition Hi Amazing Race and things are heating up 💪🔥
To earn as many points as possible, one of our staff members, Jimbo, combined multiple hikes and challenges around Lake Louise, for a nearly 30km and over 12 hour hike!

The weather may be starting to turn as we head farther into fall but hiking season isn't over yet!

Community, teamwork & a little bit of sunshine! ☀️

Our amazing HI Lake Louise team was out today joining the Parks Canada Community Litter Pick, helping keep the place we’re lucky enough to call home clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone.

And because apparently once just wasn’t enough… HI Lake Louise won Biggest Team again! 🙌

It was a beautiful day to get outside, work together, and do something positive for our community. Being a hostel in a national park means we have a responsibility to care for the environment around us, and getting our staff involved in initiatives like this is a big part of our commitment to being a responsible and community-minded organization. 🌎🌱

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and represented HI Lake Louise. We may have picked up a lot of garbage, but we also had a pretty great time doing it!

💙 End of Season Staff Party 💙

Bill Peyto’s Café will be closing early at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 21 as we celebrate our amazing team with our end-of-season staff party! 🎉

Our hardworking staff have made it through another busy summer, and now many are heading back to school or off on their next adventures. We’re so grateful for all their hard work, long days, and everything they’ve brought to Bill Peyto’s Café this season. ❤️

We’ll be reopening Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 AM and look forward to seeing you then!

One of the challenges in our HI Amazing Race? A Rocky Mountain cold plunge! ❄️💦

Our team didn’t hesitate (okay… maybe just for a second 😅) before jumping into those glacier-fed waters. It’s all about stepping outside your comfort zone, cheering each other on, and making unforgettable memories together.

Golden hour on Lake Louise. It doesn’t get much better than this!

Kailey, one of our Front Desk superstars, earned points for our HI Amazing Race Challenge with an evening paddle on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

The challenge, which kicked off in June, is all about getting our team outside, connecting with each other, staying active, and making the most of the incredible place we get to call home.

A big shoutout to HI Banff for launching this awesome initiative and inspiring us to join in this year. It’s been a fun way to build team spirit while exploring the Rockies.

After a bit of a hiatus, HI Lake Louise is back in the Lake Louise Community Softball League, and we’re having an absolute blast!

Our team is made up of staff from all over the world, and for many of them, this is their first time ever playing softball. From diving for balls to celebrating every great play, they’ve shown that enthusiasm and teamwork go a long way.

We may not fill the stat sheet, but we’re making memories, building friendships, and proudly representing HI Lake Louise in our community. ❤️

Hello Lake Louise community, today is Canada's second game in the World Cup!

It starts at 4pm and we invite you all to come join us in our fan zone in the main lounge to cheer on Canada! We have a prediction game where you can win HI jerseys, bottles and more. Just make sure to go up there before 4pm to enter your guess and get the chance to win!
