Located on beautiful Katchewanooka Lake part of the Trent Severn Waterways. We are the closest resort to the picturesque Village of Lakefield and near Young’s point, within 10 minutes of Peterborough and only 3 hours from Ottawa and the U. We are a small quiet family resort of five beautiful waterfront self catering cottages that are smoke free, surrounded by superb lake scenery with natures wildlife a wonderful safe sandy beach to enjoy and swim then when evening falls cast your eyes on the most amazing sunsets that are breathtaking as the sun goes down across the Lake. Relax and take in the memories. Lakefield is only 2 minutes by car or you can take a stroll into the village passing the famous Lakefield College where you will find food stores, a great butchers shop, fresh fruit and vegetable market, gift shops, restaurants, beer and liquor stores, local pub and a library with free Internet access. Don't forget to visit Lakefield's weekly flea market full of antiques, books, local crafts, collectables, parking and admission is free to attend and well worth a visit. Hi Folks, Well it’s hard to believe it’s September and Fall is just around the corner. The summer seems to have just passed by so fast; so at this time trying to think back some of the most memorable moments of this season but the list is so long, firstly at the top of the list is seeing all the regular guests and friends return to Lakeside Cottages, it’s been truly wonderful meeting up with everyone again. And great news to hear many have re-booked for next summer. It’s been wonderful to see Julia and Dan carry on some Lakeside moments , Canada Day, Campfires, celebrating birthdays with the guests and helping with the fishing, and introducing their amazing Chinese BBQ’s!
Now remember Thanksgiving is also fast approaching, please now is the time to contact Julia and above all Book Early for summer 2023!

Julia has had two cancellation waterfront….C #6 with a queen bed and amazing lake views! available from Sunday email now and enjoy the summer at the Lake. C #2 waterfront is available from Sunday until Saturday one week perfect for two couples with lots of space or a family wanting to get away this summer. Perfect Morning at Lakeside Cottages the best place to be on the Lake ~ Eileen was invited back at the resort for a canoe ride on Katchewanooka Lake~ with Joanne C #4 and Christine and George C #3 seeing the turtles and watching the Bald Eagle high in the tree on Eagle Island!
