Another as we look a little deeper into the history of the Morgan family and the family hospitality culture.
Shown here is the Victoria House on Stoney Lake built by John Morgan in 1894. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Scollie and had at least 2 children - Frederick born 1873 and Susan Maude 1875
Frederick married Lavina Crowe in 1899 and had 4 children - Henry Albert (Harry), Frederick Arther (Art), Helen Alexandria, John Allen (Jack)
Frederick went on to own the Morgan House in Warsaw - shown here is a picture of the Hotel and the liquour license - township tavern license - which was purchased in 1904 for $90 .
The Morgan House was destroyed by fire in 1916 just after in was sold.
Harry and Helen worked at both places, perhaps that is where Harry found his calling to own a hotel of his own.
Harry and Florence purchased Beachwood in 1944.
