Say hello to Olivia from our Maintenance team! ๐Ÿ‘‹

This is Olivia's first year with , and she has already discovered some of the park's best trails and scenery. Her top recommendation for visitors? Explore the Sandstone Island Trail! Whether you're looking for scenic views or to experience the park's natural beauty up close, it's a trail she believes everyone should hike.

Olivia's advice for incoming campers: Pack for all kinds of weather! Conditions can change quickly, and being prepared for sunshine or rain will help ensure you have the best possible experience during your stay.

A few fun facts about Olivia are she has been playing piano for 12 years, and she enjoys playing volleyball in her free time!

Whether she's maintaining park facilities or enjoying the outdoors, Olivia brings enthusiasm to everything she does. If you see her around the park this season, be sure to say hi!

Park Notice: Tallow Rock Bay Trail โ€“ Slim Bay Bridge Removal & Closure
The Slim Bay Bridge on the Tallow Rock Bay east trail was badly damaged this winter and has now been removed from service.
The bridge will not be in place for the remainder of the 2026 operating season.
As there is no longer a bridge, the 10 km loop on the Tallow Rock Bay Trail is no longer available.
Interior campers travelling to Slim Bay campsites will now have a 7 km hike to access the sites. Sites are still accessible by water; however, motorboats are not permitted in Slim Bay.
Interior campers travelling to the Hidden Cove site will have a 6 km hike to access the site.

Planning to visit for day-use this season? If you frequently visit , you may be interested in getting a seasonal permit.

Seasonal permits are eligible for unlimited day-use access for over 100 provincial parks.

Our summer and annual permits are valid as followed:

โ˜€๏ธ Summer Day-Use Vehicle Permit valid from April 1, 2026 through November 30, 2026
๐ŸŒฒ Annual Day-Use Vehicle Permit valid from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026

If you have a seasonal permit, upon entering our park please use the left lane to display your pass to our gatehouse staff, as well as providing your licence plate details.

Already pre-registered for day use? Please confirm with gate staff on your way into the park that you have registered online.

Don't have a seasonal permit? Day-use permits are also available upon arrival to our gatehouse, or can be purchased online prior to your visit.

This we're featuring our Rental Lead, Lindsay! For the past two years, Lindsay has been helping visitors make the most of their time at . Her top camping tip? Pack extra socks! ๐Ÿงฆ

One of Lindsay's favourite places in the park is the Sandstone Island Trail, which she recommends to anyone looking to experience the park's natural beauty. Over the years, she's also had the chance to spot some incredible wildlife and plants, including vibrant red trilliums, baby raccoons, and woodpeckers!

When it comes to choosing her favourite animal in the park, Lindsay says deer take the top spot.

Whether Lindsay is helping campers with equipment rentals or sharing recommendations on where to explore, Lindsay plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for our visitors. We're grateful to have her as a staff member and appreciate all she does to help visitors enjoy the park!

Looking for a fun way to explore ? Get out on the water and explore with our canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards! We have rental equipment available at multiple locations throughout the park to help you make the most out of your time on the water. Whether you're an experienced paddler or giving it a try for the first time, there's an adventure waiting for everyone! ๐Ÿ›ถ

Our rental office fees are as followed (HST included)...

2-Seat Canoes, 3-Seat Canoes, and Tandem Kayaks:
4 hours - $24.00
8 hours - $28.00
24 hours - $40.00

Single Kayaks and Stand-Up Paddleboards:
4 hours - $18.00
8 hours - $22.00
24 hours - $34.00

All-Terrain Beach Wheelchair - FREE ($100 deposit)

Each canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rental is available through a first come, first served basis. Each rental includes life jackets, paddles, and a safety bucket. We also have lifejackets available through the PARKSmart program and fishing rods available through our TackleShare program. ๐Ÿ›Ÿ๐ŸŽฃ
