Hi All, we are discussing the idea of running an Out Door Day Camp at Fork Lake in July and Aug 9am - 5pm Mon - Fri for Ages 9 - 15. Water safety, water sports, gardening, foraging and many other activities!

Two Minutes of Silence

I remember thinking as a child of ten,
« Will these Two Minutes never end? »
No words are spoken, no music on play
Standing out in the cold, on Remembrance Day.

As the years have flown past, my thoughts still linger,
On Two Minutes of Silence at the onset of winter.
One day of the year that has been set aside,
To honor all those that have fought with pride!
Protecting our Country from coast to coast,
So we can have that which we cherish most.

Two Minutes of Silence to ponder the loss,
Our Freedom is Free, but it came at Great Cost.
So let us resolve, to never forget.
All those to whom we’re forever in debt.
To all of the Soldiers who gave their lives,
Leaving family and friends and loving wives.
Two Minutes of Silence just one day a year,
Hardly a token, for all they held dear!
