No one can sneak up these old creaky stairs!

I graduated from the University of Guelph in horticulture and agriculture. I know I’m supposed to cut out old wood from shrubs like these lilacs. But this is why I can’t do it - the lilacs greet us through the two windows of the Night Owl bathroom, two stories up! In the journal of how the house was built and the gardens made it shows this as the official Lilac Walk, 1938.

My town, my bank, my Willow and back home along the lane. The old pear tree in blossoms white and a Carolinian redbud greeting.

This looks amazing! Let me know if you go to see this? Before or after you stay with us!! ;)

Heading down the bank to the Twenty Mile Creek, we find Mrs Canada Goose flattened over her 4 eggs, in her nest on our dock. Mr Goose vigilant nearby in the water. I got Willow dog onto her leash and away from our tenants. (Or we are the tenants!) Then back up to the house Willow alerts me to another Mr Goose patrolling the lane along the edge of the blushing peach orchard. April 29, 2026.

With Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉I started doing the Children's Programme for the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch Openhouse in maybe - 1996 when I founded Niagara Nature Tours! It was was always held on Good Friday but the Openhouse has not been held the last couple of years due to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authorities concerns about parking for the Openhouse.
