Have you ever seen a forest breathe? 🌲

During a recent fall storm, we ventured out to check on our trail. This phenomenon happens on occasion. The wind blows the trees just enough to shift the roots under the soil and moss, this results in the earth giving the appearance of "breathing".

There is beauty in all seasons, you just have to look for it. At Wrecking Harbour you are surrounded by the wonders of nature, what will you see?

The idea for Wrecking Harbour has always been to create a village, a place you come to rejuvenate yourself. We knew the first step was accommodations, so whats next? We are excited to announce something exclusively for guests. When you stay with us, you can now book a private cook to come right to you. Sit back and relax after a day of exploring while our cook does all the work (even the dishes). 🍽

How it works: book your stay then reach out directly to us and we will coordinate the rest.

Saturday was a windy one! We ventured out and checked on everything on site, all is well outside of some trees knocked down. Newfoundland weather isn't for the faint of heart, but we love it in all forms. 🌬

One of the questions we often receive is: "can you walk directly to the beach?" Well, we have recieved final approval for our trail. Soon you will be able to walk directly from your beach house to the beach! It will be a beautiful winding path, a transition from forest to sea 🌲🌊. Please excuse our dirt piles while we work on this for you. 🪏
