The Kinley House

The Kinley House This grand heritage home in the quaint seaside town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, will provide a home away from home in the heart of this picturesque destination.

The house has been fully renovated yet retains its original character and charm. The Kinley House is a turn-of-the-century house that we have completely renovated and restored. As with all heritage homes, you may hear a pipe rumble as it wakes from inactivity or the floorboards and stair may creak as they spring into action with a passing foot. These little noises from the house are nothing to wor

ry about, it is just reminding us that it is happy to have endured many busy years serving the Kinley family and it's saying a creaky/rumbly thank you to all the new guests it is meeting and staying active with. The hot water may take a moment to travel the length of the pipes, simply start your shower/bath and allow half a minute for the hot water to make its journey. Some of our doors may stick a little but it knows that the wooden entry doors in the entrance hall are never locked so if closed firmly they may just need a gentle nudge. Come stay in a historical home in the heart of Lunenburg.

🎄 PARADE NEWS, NOTES, AND REMINDERS
The return of the Christmas on the LaHave Parade of Lights, presented by Rhyno's Heating, Refrigeration and Plumbing and Nature's Reflections Landscaping Ltd., is this Saturday night!

With the excitement of the kick off to the Bridgewater Shines Festive Season just a few days away, we wanted to share a couple of reminders and useful info for folks!

✅ Parade route: NSCC to Empire Street to King Street, beginning at 6 p.m. For a map, you can visit www.explorebridgewater.ca/shines.

✅ Forecast: Currently mostly clear, but cool with wind. Dress for the weather!

✅ Portable washrooms located at: NSCC, Empire near Bridgewater Memorial Arena, on King Street near Old Bridge.

✅ Pre-parade entertainment: We're excited that musicians Danny Banfield and Steve Dicks will be walking the parade route between 5 and 6 p.m. to provide some pre-show entertainment for folks!

✅ Pre-parade collection: If you have food bank donations, the members of the Park View Panthers Ladies' basketball team will be out collecting. Canada Post will be picking up letters for Santa. The Health Services Foundation will be collecting donations toward the Brighter Days South Shore Regional Hospital expansion campaign.

✅ Fireworks: Weather permitting, there will be a fireworks display following the parade visible from the Old Bridge area of the downtown at the conclusion of the parade. We strongly advise those with pets or with personal light and noise sensitivities to take steps to minimize the impact of the display.

We are keeping an eye on the forecast as winds may impact whether fireworks can safely happen. If the wind is too strong, fireworks will take place the next possible night at the discretion and availability of Bridgewater Fire Department.

Any changes to plans for the fireworks resulting from weather will be published via the Town's social media on parade day.

✅ The parade will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person via the Town's page.
