Today it is anything but peaceful! Like many other rural properties over the last few years we have had some well troubles. Always trying to improve and grow we are drilling deeper. We took a small opening in the schedule to get this done. Many levels of Windrose and today it is loud! Ps. Brewsters drilling has been top notch through this entire situation. I would highly recommend them!

Meet Jason 👋
With so many new faces here lately, we thought it was time to introduce the other half of Windrose Cottage.
Jason and Jennifer’s story actually began back in junior high. Life took them in different directions for a while, but years later they reconnected, and the rest is history. Together, they’ve built a life they love and are raising two amazing boys.
Jason is the heart behind Windrose. While Jennifer is often the one behind the messages and social media posts, Jason is the person who has quite literally built the cottage you see today. From major renovations to the smallest finishing touches, he has poured countless hours into making Windrose the special place it is.
An accomplished Red Seal carpenter and owner of Jason Roy Home Renovations, Jason is known for his incredible work ethic, friendly personality, and the pride he takes in every project. Whether he’s building, fixing, mowing the lawn, or dreaming up the next improvement, there’s a good chance you’ll find him outside — especially if it involves being near the water.
Windrose is truly a team of two, and none of this would exist without Jason’s talent, dedication, and big heart. 🤍

One year ago today, we welcomed our very first guests to Windrose Cottage.
It's hard to believe that what began as an idea, a vision, and countless hours of hard work by Jason and me has now been welcoming guests for an entire year.
A house becomes a home when it's filled with memories. Over the past year, Windrose has been fortunate enough to become part of so many.
From family vacations and anniversary celebrations to girls' weekends, quiet escapes, campfires by the lake, and peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck, every guest has left a little piece of their story here.
Looking back at where we started makes us incredibly proud—not just of the transformation of the cottage itself, but of what it has become.
To everyone who has stayed with us, signed our guest book, shared kind words, or cared for Windrose as if it were your own, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and kindness have made this first year more meaningful than we could have imagined.
Today isn't about looking ahead. It's about taking a moment to look back with gratitude and celebrating this special milestone.

At Windrose Cottage, a good night's sleep isn't an afterthought — it's something we intentionally invest in. 🤍
From our comfortable Sealy pillow-top mattresses to freshly washed bedding, we put a lot of care into creating a space where guests can truly rest and recharge.
One of our favourite cottage traditions is hanging the sheets out on the clothesline whenever the weather allows. Not only is it a more sustainable, earth-friendly way to dry laundry, but we also believe there is simply no better sleep than slipping into a bed made with sun-dried, fresh-air sheets. ☀️🍃
We also use environmentally conscious laundry products because we want to care for the lake, the land, and the experience we provide for our guests.
Is it more work? Absolutely.
But it's one of the many little things we do behind the scenes because we believe the details matter. When you stay at Windrose Cottage, we want you to feel the difference — from the moment your head hits the pillow to the moment you wake up overlooking the lake.
Sometimes luxury isn't about fancy things. Sometimes it's about fresh air, clean sheets, and the best sleep you've had in a long time.

We are feeling incredibly grateful this week at Windrose Cottage 🤍
This week we officially received our 50th 5-star Airbnb review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
While we actually passed that milestone some time ago through a mix of Airbnb and private bookings, seeing that official “50” appear on our Airbnb profile felt really special to us.
When Jason and I purchased this property, we poured our hearts into transforming it into a cozy lakeside retreat where people could slow down, reconnect, laugh, rest, and make memories together. To see guests embrace Windrose the way they have honestly means the world to us.
