The Commercial Hotel has been the oldest operating establishment in Maple Creek until the flood in 2010 which closed down the building. The group known as Licadel Hotel Group Ltd. started operating the newly renovated bar and rooms in 2013. In March 2014, the group opened its very own restaurant and is currently working in opening the patio by summer of 201

4. Guests will once again see the intact nature of its 1911 lobby featuring the old trim, banister, tiles and furnishings including chairs from the 1884 lobby. Rehabilitation of the building`s facade will be on its way which will bring the building back to its 1911 look.
