Sometimes I have ideas that sit in my head for a really long time. It's so easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of everyday life that we keep putting things off. Next month turns into next season... and somehow the years pass by. This is one of those ideas for me.

I've wanted for a long time to find a way to share the trails here at Nature's Harmony more intentionally with our local community. And instead of continuing to think about it and waiting until I have everything figured out... I've decided I just need to start. ๐Ÿ˜Š

So, I'd like to begin offering a ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ข๐ค๐ž ๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐š ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก on our trails.

The times and days of the week will vary. It might be an early morning sunrise hike, a moonlight hike, a winter snowshoe or maybe even a rainy-day hike. I'll choose the trail and guide the way... but the experience itself will unfold naturally depending on who shows up.

What I really want to create is simply a reason for people to step away from their everyday routines, come into the forest, move together... and find whatever they might need.

๐ถ๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘ ๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›. ๐ถ๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘›๐‘’๐‘๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›. ๐ฟ๐‘Ž๐‘ข๐‘”โ„Ž๐‘ก๐‘’๐‘Ÿ. ๐‘…๐‘’๐‘“๐‘™๐‘’๐‘๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›. ๐ผ๐‘›๐‘ ๐‘๐‘–๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›. ๐‘‚๐‘Ÿ ๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘š๐‘๐‘™๐‘ฆ ๐‘ž๐‘ข๐‘–๐‘’๐‘ก.

Maybe you meet someone new. Maybe you have a conversation you needed to have. Maybe you find someone to adventure with again. Or maybe you don't feel like talking at all and simply want to walk quietly, listen to the forest and enjoy being in the presence of others.

There won't be any pressure around numbers. If 15 people show up, that's who was meant to be there. If it's two people, maybe those two people were meant to meet. And if nobody shows up... apparently the forest and I needed some alone time together. ๐ŸŒฒ

I want these hikes to be accessible to ๐š๐ง๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ž ๐ฐ๐ก๐จ ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ž๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฃ๐จ๐ข๐ง, so there won't be a set fee. They'll simply be offered by private donation โ€“ whatever amount feels right for you.

Maybe over time this evolves into something more... For now, I'm just planting the seed ๐ŸŒฑ... and finally taking the first step. ๐Ÿ‘ฃ

โœจ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ will take part in our ๐„๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฅ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž, led by Natureโ€™s Harmony โ€“ an immersive, guided journey rooted in core values such as mindfulness, perseverance, gratitude, and community, helping students build confidence, resilience, and leadership through challenge, reflection, and connection with nature, self, and others.

โœจ ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ will engage in ๐ก๐š๐ง๐๐ฌ-๐จ๐ง ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  led by the Canadian Ecology Centre, taking part in interactive games, activities, and land-based learning that spark curiosity about the natural world and deepen their connection to local ecosystems.

As we wrap up this winter season at Natureโ€™s Harmony, weโ€™re feeling incredibly grateful. โ„๏ธโœจ

This year we ran very lean on staffโ€ฆ faced tractor breakdowns, unpredictable weather, and long stretches of physically demanding work โ€“ and yet, it turned into one of our longest and most rewarding winter seasons. Through it all, we worked hard, problem-solved, and still found time for fun and laughter along the way.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Jessica and Kevin. Your hard work, care, integrity, and loyalty never go unnoticed. You show up fully, go above and beyond, and treat this place like itโ€™s your own. You are truly like family, and we could not have pulled off this season without your dedication. ๐Ÿ’›

Weโ€™re also deeply grateful to the many family members, friends, neighbors, and community members who stepped in when it mattered most โ€“ helping in the tubing park, lending equipment, floating machinery, clearing roads, offering extra hands, sharing posts, and simply showing up. So many gave their time and support without expecting anything in return. That kind of generosity is incredibly humbling.

This season was a powerful reminder of something we hold close โ€“ the importance of community. The people who check in, offer help before you even ask, and stand beside you during the busy and challenging moments.

We are never truly alone when weโ€™ve built community.
